What Can You Use Without Petcube Care?

Without a Petcube Care subscription, you can still use the Petcube Cam 360 for live video streaming through the app. The camera itself remains functional for basic real-time monitoring, while features such as cloud video history, smart alerts, video downloads, and advanced filtering are reserved for Petcube Care plans.

What Does Petcube Care Add?

Petcube Care adds cloud-based video history, smart alerts for sounds and activity, video downloads, smart filters, and access to recorded events through the app and web interface. Depending on the plan, video history can extend from 3 days up to 90 days, with the Premium plan also covering unlimited cameras and additional benefits.

Petcube Care Plans: Which Option Is Right for You?

Petcube currently offers a free Basic option along with paid Optimal and Premium Care plans. Basic is designed for live viewing, while Optimal adds 3 days of video history, smart alerts, 30-second clips, and other monitoring tools. Premium expands video history to 90 days and adds benefits such as unlimited video downloads, coverage for unlimited cameras, and Online Vet access.

Petcube Care Optimal: What You Get

The Petcube Care Optimal plan includes 3 days of cloud video history, 30-second video clips, smart alerts, web access, Daily Diary videos, smart filters, and up to 10 video downloads. It is designed for pet owners who want more than live viewing but do not need the extended history and unlimited coverage included with Premium.

Petcube Care Premium: What You Get

The Petcube Care Premium plan includes 90 days of cloud video history, 30-second video clips, smart alerts, web access, Daily Diary videos, smart filters, unlimited video downloads, coverage for unlimited cameras, Online Vet access, and a 2-year device warranty. It is the more complete option for owners who want extended history or use multiple Petcube cameras.

How Much Does Petcube Care Cost?

Petcube Care offers monthly and yearly billing. The Optimal plan currently costs $9.99 per month, or $4.99 per month when billed yearly for a total of $59.88 per year. The Premium plan costs $16.99 per month, or $11.99 per month when billed yearly for a total of $143.88 per year. Petcube also includes a 14-day free trial of Care with each Petcube camera purchase. Prices and promotions can change, so it is worth checking the official Petcube Care page for the latest rates.

Is Petcube Care Worth It?

Petcube Care is most useful for owners who want recorded video history, smarter alerts, downloadable clips, or monitoring across multiple cameras. If you only need to open the app and check your pet live from time to time, the free Basic option may be enough. The paid plans make more sense when you want to review past events or receive more detailed notifications while you are away.

Who Should Consider Petcube Care?

Petcube Care is a stronger fit for owners who spend long hours away from home, want to review recorded activity, use multiple Petcube cameras, or prefer smarter alerts instead of checking the live feed manually. It may also be useful for owners who want downloadable clips or longer video history for monitoring patterns over time.

Final Thoughts: Do You Need Petcube Care?

For most owners, Petcube Care is optional rather than essential. The Petcube Cam 360 can still be useful for live monitoring without a paid plan, while Care becomes more valuable if you want recorded video history, smarter alerts, downloadable clips, or broader multi-camera coverage. The best choice depends on how often you want to review past activity and how much automation you expect from your pet camera.
